Nina Willimann is an artist in the field of performing and fine arts based in Zurich. She studied contemporary dance at TIP/Bewegungs-art in Freiburg/D and Transdisciplinarity in the arts (MA) at the Zurich University of the Arts. Her work has been presented in public spaces, theaters, museums, galleries and festivals in Switzerland, Germany, France, Georgia, Chile, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Côte d'Ivoire.
In 2010 Nina is a founding member of Trop cher to share. Furthermore, Nina has worked in various collaborations, a.o. with choreographers Tabea Martin (CH) and Jessica Huber (CH), as well as in interdisciplinary constellations a.o. with writer Mamadou Mahmoud N'Dongo (F/SE) and with Celia & Nathalie Sidler (CH). Since 2015 she's collaborating with Japanese artist Mayumi Arai. Under the name willimannarai they create site-specific and research based work in Asia and Europe. As a performer Nina has worked for Cie Marielle Pinsard (CH), Asphalt Piloten (CH/D) and Alexandra Pirici (RO), among others. Nina has also been involved in various mediation projects, a.o. as a guest lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts, as a Choreographer for the Tanzakademie Basel (Kaserne Basel), and as a teacher of various workshops and stage-projects with children and young adults.
