Nina Willimann

Nina Willimann is a an artist in the field of performing arts, she was born and raised in the heart of Switzerland. Nina studied at the School for visual Arts in Bern/Biel/CH, TIP/Bewegungs-Art in Freiburg i. Brsg.,/D as well as at the Zurich University of the Arts/CH. Nina Willlimann was part of the collective Tells Töchter from 2010-2012 and is a founding member of the Cie trop cher to share. She often works in interdisciplinary and intercultural contexts and deals with identity as an imaginary
construction in connection with terms such as nation, history, culture, and gender and their real effects on the individual's body. Furthermore, Nina is experimenting with different performance formats in her soloperformances and regularly collaborates with artists from different backgrounds. Amongst other artists she worked with Jessica Huber, Mayumi Arai (JP), Mamadou Mahmoud N'Dongo (F), Celia & Nathalie Sidler (CH) and Stofer & Stofer (CH). Nina performed amongst others for Cie Marielle Pinsard (CH), Alexandra Pirici (RO), Katharina Vogel (CH), Andreas Liebmann (D/CH) and Tania Bruguera, (CU). In 2014 she was invited by Reso for the Choreo Lab in the Südpol Lucerne/CH and in 2015 by Pro Helvetia for camping in the Center national de la danse CND Paris/F as well as the Séminaire en Avignon. So far, Nina exhibited her work in public space, in theaters, museums, art spaces and festivals in Switzerland, Germany, France, Chile, Hong Kong and Côte d'Ivoire.
